Will I Lose All Of My Data On My Zune It I Remove Then Reinstall The Software?
My zune software will not run correctly. When it opens, there’s a window that pops up and says I have to visit microsoft’s website. One solution is to remove and re-install the software. But, I don’t want to lose all of my data on my Zune software.

Itouch Will Not Upgrade!!?
I recently downloaded the new itouch 2.0 software from apple. Once I start installing it, an error message pops up saying that the ipod could not be recovered. Then why I try it again a message will say that the iTouch is in recovery mode. When I go to recover it the same message will keep appearing. The error message either has a 13 or 6 at the end of it. If I go to a different account on my computer, I am able to restore it back to the old software, but I just can’t update to 2.0. Please Help!

Computer Reinstalled Windows Xp On Its Own…? I Lost Everything!?
Went to turn my computer off and it went to some start up screen that said “Installing software” so I thought it was a windows update or something so I just let it go but omg… My computer reinstalled windows on its own! Everything is gone, pictures, applications, games, music… EVERYTHING! I will add that the night before this happened I ran all my antivirus software, I defragmented it, and ran disk cleanup and no problems were found. I dont care about ANYTHING except my sons pictures (which total somewhere between 500 and 1.5k) I was going to save them all onto a disks at about 5 and it did this at 3. I dont care what it takes but I want my pictures back, and I dont care about anything else. Please tell me how to get them all back. I cant use go back or windows recovery… I already tried. Please help.

How Can I Fix My Computer? Will Not Boot After Malware Infection?
So, I accidentally downloaded some malware, I’m not sure how. I quickly noticed it, tried to do a system restore, but it had disabled the system restore. I tried scanning the hard drive and removing it, but my outdated virus software was unable to detect it and the malware had also disabled internet, making it impossible for the AV software to search for updated (yeah this was some SMART malware unfortunately).
I was finally able to scan my hard drive with a “portable” AV program via flash drive, and there were like hundreds of trojans detected. When I attempted to remove them, the hard drive immediately crashed and the entire computer was bricked.
It will not boot normally, it will not boot in safe mode, the “last known good configuration” will not work… whenever I try to boot the computer, it will boot to a black screen with nothing but a cursor on it.
I am running windows xp, I do not have the factory recovery console CD to boot from…. I am at a loss as to what I can do.
To make matters worse, tomorrow is finals week and I have multiple documents saved on that computer that I NEED for my classes, and I no longer have access to them.

I Want My Notebook To Work Like I First Bought It =(?
I bought my notebook a yr ago. It’s now laggy and after long hours of gaming it’ll crash. I got a virus previously and although it’s cleaned(i think) i still get error messages and crashes occasionally. I think it’s time to reformat?
There’s a lot of cd-roms that came with the notebook, i’m not sure what they are. Can anyone explain them please?

I bought the notebook from my school, everything was installed nicely when i first bought it, they gave us windows xp professional instead, it’s a one-time thing. If i reformat i’ll have to use home edition? What’s the difference?

Do i need to use them after i reformat? Are they programs like roxio, Cyberlink PowerDVD(i didn’t install them) which was already in the com when i bought it?

Which Family Tree Software Is The Best?
I am looking for a way to organise all the information I have about relatives but would also look for more information about my ancestors. I have seen a few family tree maker software packages but would like opinions on which is best.
So far, I am leaning towards Family Tree Maker 2006 which comes with all sorts of records on disc.

I can’t find a good firewall and a lite antiviruse software that i can count on.
Every one has it own thing i’m looking for a whole protection software including a Firewall and an Antivirus for free but don’t tell me ZoneAlarm cause i hate it.
