I used dban last night to wipe my hard drive clean. I burned the program to a dvd, and installed the program at system start up. It said time left was about 4 hours so I left the program to run all night. When I checked it this morning, the computer was off. I turned it on, and there was just a blinking white dash at the top left hand side of the screen. I did not see a log file. I used my recovery disks to reinstall the OS and everything seems to be working fine. All the preinstalled software is gone (which is what I wanted to happen) I just want to be sure the program wiped the drive.But there was no log file. Any insight is appreciated.

I had lightscribe when I bought my HP, but I sent it for a repair, they installed an ATAPI dvd with light scribe and it was working fine. recently, I had trouble with my pc so, I did a system recovery on my pc, now I get a message saying “critical lightscribe error occured please reinstall software supplied w/your lightscribe. then I close the message and I get another one “There is no lightscribe devices found on this system.” Help! Please!(everything else works fine) My thought was that since the technician did not put back an HP light scribe then it is not reading it? I dont know, Help!
