Turbo tax website charges 70.00 to file federal and state taxes using their software online. If I buy the software for 30 could I save the other 40 or do they still charge you to file state taxes on the software as well.

I have tried the whole “hidden files” thing and it doesn’t work as far as I know for the Touch. It does with older models however. Is there any way I can get music from my iPod to iTunes without paying for software?

I have the big spyware alert screen stuck on my desktop and it can not be minimized or moved.

What free Anti Virus Software do you think is best to use that has a high level strict scanning? Idc if it uses lots of resources cause I don’t use that many anyways.

I have downloaded the BitDefender antivirus trial version from the internet after feeling bore with kaspersky that the latter has some flaws in detecting virus. And I found BitDefender just fine. Should the buy the license key of BitDefender or will try Nod32 or Avira(These are also fine antivirus software)? Is it really good to go on with Avast home edition which is free of cost?

I have an old ThinkPad X41 (tablet, model 1869-5CU). I’d like to extend its life and make it faster. I am upgrading the RAM from 1GB to 1.5GB (max supported). What else can I do to speed it up?
In particular, I’m looking at upgrading the hard disk. Control Panel / System / Device Manager / Disk drives reports the hard disk as “HTC426040G9AT00″, which I believe is a Hitachi DK13FA-40. This is a 1.8 inch form factor, 40 GB capacity, 4200 RPM drive with an IDE/EIDE DMA/ATA-100 (Ultra) interface. What is the maximum capacity drive, maximum RPM/transfer rate drive I can get? Is there a simple way (please point to an URL with good instructions for a technical person who hasn’t done this before) to transfer the contents of my existing hard drive to the new drive, so all the OS, software, and data will be there without reinstallation? If not, is there a simple way to create a recovery disk that will reinstall things without me trying to find the (long gone) system disks? I have not run Ghost or anything like that before, but I can figure it out with a little help from the Yahoo! Answers community.
If I have to create a partition that is the same size as my current C: partition (33GB), and then partition the rest of the drive as a separate logical disk, that would be fine with me.
BTW, if I do all this, will the computer be noticeably faster?
I will, of course, reward the best answer of all those that solve my problem with 10 points. THANKS!!!

I have this notice on forefront of screen for weeks…tried numerous anti-spyware/anti-virus etc…see list! I’ve also learned that it may be more harmful to outright remove it from computer! I don’t even know where to start that process anyway (first touched a computer 9mos ago!) I have a HP Compaq with Windows XP which I bought almost a year ago.
