Toshiba A215-5817 Hard Drive Replacement. How Hard Is It To Do?

I’ve owned a Toshiba laptop for a little more than a year now and for the past 3 months or so I’ve been having some issues with it. It would just shut down on me for no reason. I’ve reinstalled the software countless times thinking that was the problem but apparently not. Last night I was trying to reboot it and I got an error message that the hard drive was about to fail and that I need to back it up or replace it.
I’ve looked online for replacement drives and found them very reasonable. So, in the next week or so I’m gonna order one as soon as I find the one I like and install it. How difficult is it to do and once I install it do I simply put the recovery disks in it to reinstall Vista and the original hardware that came with the laptop?
Help!!!!!

Restore Jailbroken Ipod Touch?

I have a 16G iPod touch (purchased last June) that I jailbreaked using the Ziphone jailbreaking program. Recently, my iTunes updated my iPod so all the apps that I had from jailbreaking my iPod were gone. I decided that instead of trying to jailbreak my iPod again, I would get the new iPhone update for the iPod touch (the one they advertise every time you plug in your iPod touch; you pay $9.95). I tried the update and it downloaded, but then a message popped up saying that the iPod couldn’t be updated with the software and needed to be restored. So I tried to restore it and it totally failed. Now, whenever I plug it into iTunes, it is only recognized as a device in recovery mode, but whenever I try to restore it, I always get an unknown error (14). How can I fix my iPod? Please help!

Internet Antivirus Pro Problem?

I got several responses to my last question regarding how to rid my computer of the malicious software I was tricked into downloading- Internet Antivirus Pro. I followed directions of uninstalling the program through my control panel. Then I tried to download the free version of “AVG”. After clicking ‘download’ and ‘run’, a box pops up that says “another antivirus/security program is currently installed on this computer” it strongly recommends removal of the program before AVG can be installed. When I got my computer, it came with the NOD32 antivirus system. So now I don’t know if that is the program that is already installed or if it’s referring to the Internet Antivirus Pro which may not have been successfully removed. Is it safe to uninstall NOD32? Will the free edition of “AVG” be sufficient enough to protect my computer, or do I need to keep the NOD32? This question may not make much sense, I don’t know very much about computers…please help

I use my computer for business and don’t have installation cd’s or setup files for some of my programs. If I used imaging software, wouldn’t I be be just restoring all the garbage back on to the disk as well as my programs?

Why Does Internet Explorer 8 Always Stop Working Then Close, When I Try To Use It?

I end up getting a message that appears on the task bar at the bottom of the screen about how “Data Execution Prevention”
“To help protect your computer DEP has closed Internet Explorer”
I have internet security software installed, (Norton Internet Security 2009) so why is this happening? (My lap top uses Vista)
From Windows Help and Support:
Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.
DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.
Should I do a system recovery or system restore to restore Internet Explorer 7 that was originally installed on my lap top?
Although IE 7 crashes regularly when I use it.
