How To Retrieve Lost Address Book From Outlook?

My computer got infected by a virus and I had to undergo a partial recovery of the hard drive meaning my PC was set back to its factory state. However most of my files were saved. I just needed to reinstall various software including Outlook 2002. The problem is I had to reset my email account and seem to have lost all my old emails but more importantly my address book.
Is there a way to retrieve my list of contacts (if so how?) or is it lost for good? PC is on XP.

My Ipod Touch Disconnects During Update!?

Whenever I open up iTunes and download the 2.2.1 update it begins to extract the software. Soon after I can see a ring on my iPod as if its doing something and then it goes to a black screen and I can hear the noise on my computer as if a device has disconnected.
After a second, I hear the same noise to indicate that it has been reconnected. My iPod is now in recovery mode and iTunes update is frozen.
This has lead me to believe that it is not supposed to disconnect while updating which is causing iTunes to crash. Please, I need help here guys.
Can you please find a fix to stop my iPod disconnecting while updating?

When I Plug My Ipod Touch In?

it has a picture of the usb port pointing to a picture of the itunes logo.
and in the itunes it says… “iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes.”
but when I click on resore it says “The iPod software update server could not be contacted.”
and i also can’t connect to the iTunes store… but I can go on the internet…
i recently tried to downgrade it from 1.1.4 to 1.1.1 and I’m almost 100% sure that’s what messed it up.
How do I fix everything?? :(

I am wondering if anyone knows of any software that will handle online registrations (perhaps through a sql database or anything else)? I want to create an online form for people to fill our and register for several conferences (but wish to assign a number limit for each conference, so for example, Conference A has 50 slots available, after it fills up, it will be taken off the registration list) I have toyed around with OScommerce before, and pretty much was hoping there is something like that available.

cool but im pissed off…. it was cool for the first few days….
and i still think its very cool but the problem is that after a few days like 5-6 days… i started getting a weird behavior from it… then my sister was using it, suddenly it froze and she couldn’t do anything… she turned it off and I turned it back on like half an our later….. and i get this message that it was not successfully shut down… and that recovery data was lost… something like that, it said i could recover it but then the screen went blank and it proceeded to the windows logo thing, when your computer is starting up…… so log in and I open the internet, click on the window and it wouldn’t bring me to it its like i didnt even click on it.

I Erased The Registry Keys, And Now My Computer Wont Start!?

Ok so yesterday I was on the computer, and I was looking on websites on how i can block porno graphic images so my kids will not see them.
I didn’t really know what i was doing so,
I went to Run, types in reedit, and Erased a whole set of files on HKEY/Current User/Software/ Etc.
Now when i turn my computer on, it goes to this screen where is says if i want to go in safe mode, safe mode with networking, last known configuration, etc.
And when i press enter on any of these I get a black screen with nothing, not even my cursor!
I do not want to do a system recovery and lose all of my important files, and photos.
Is there any other way to fix this! Help!

Conficker C / Windows Update?

I know that the Conficker c virus is doing something today and I think i might be infected.
When I went to windows to update everything today (this is not my computer. my relative’s) it said downloading and then when I went to update history I saw that since August 2008 all the update’s failed except the Windows Defender ones. Wtf and is this the conficker c virus doing it. This is not a fake copy of Windows Vista. This is real because I havent done no system recovery on it since I got it in 2007.
I can go to the sites: Microsoft.com and that is where i downloaded Malicious Software Removal Tool, www.avg.com, mcafee and people say that Idont have the virus if I can go to those sites. But the windows update is worrying me because i need those updates to be protected.
