Made A Mistake Installing Norton 360 On A Pc With Not Enough Memory?

I tried installing on my laptop but the norton 360 software requires 256 RAM – it seemed to install ok but on startup it goes into Windows XP ok but then it freezes and doesnt show the taskbar or anything, just my desktop wallpaper.
My laptop is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro
I have tried booting in safe mode and safe mode with networking but it still does the same just goes off. I have a system recovery CD but this will not boot either!
Help – can anyone advise, thanks

Yes Uninstall some free down loads then use the Norton uninstall TOOL. Then Reinstall Norton The Best.
You shouldn’t use Norton. I use Anti-vir Anti-Virus(Avira), Sygate Personal firewall and firefox. I’ve never had a virus on my laptop, never had too much of spyware either. As to the solution to your problem, just see if pressing the windows key brings up the start menu then do a system restore if it works.
norton is a no no. your computer will die.
