I used a freeware program called REST2514. I had to recover each file in either sub folders containing up to 100 files or individually and this took several hours. Using ACDSee to view the recovered image files over half of them were blank even though they had file sizes but no content in the file and several of the remaining files had over 90 percent of the image destroyed.
I was quite upset but realized no biggy. I learn through trial and error.
But I thought maybe a program in the Norton line of software was able to undelete files that had been recently emptied from the recycle bin.
I think the program lies within a program called Norton Utilities 2002.
I am not using that old program but wish to find out if Norton System Works or Norton 360 for 2008 has the ability to more properly save files that are put in the recycle bin so if you change your mind and want the files back you could get them out using some undelete or recovery program without getting 80 percent file corruption.
