Is There Some Reason I Can’t Get Avast Antivirus To Run On A Windows Vista Home Basic Os?

The Avast website says that the latest version of their free home edition should operate correctly on Windows Vista, and it will download from the site to the computer, but when I click the icon to run the download and install it, nothing happens. I’ve downloaded it twice from the same source and both times the download was successful. Anyone else having this problem with Avast, or have any thoughts on why Vista is blocking it from running? (There are no other antivirus software programs installed on the computer)

I run Avast with Vista fine. If you’re using Internet Explorer, you have to click a yellow bar at the top of the browser to allow any download.
