Avg Says It Has Threat Detected (trojan Horse Psw.generic6.avhr). Is This A Real Threat?

After reading similar questions relating to trojan horses I am wondering if this is a real trojan or a ‘false positive’.
I tried searching google for this particular trojan but it returned no results.
I run AVG free 8.0 antivirus software.
Can somebody please help me out and show me how to get rid of the infected files.
