I need to know what is the best software for creating pictures and animation that i can post on sites like….
Question Details: I want to draw cool pictures and animate things like avatars and emoticons, and i want them to be very good quality like deviations you see on deviantart. I’m currently using MS Paint and when i upload them, they look like fooking crap. If you know or already use softwares on your computer that will make clear drawings and good animations, could you list it for me? I would very much appreciate it. Thank You! X3

Photoshop is the industry standard for creating images. Go to the help contents and look at the section dealing w/ SAVE FOR WEB. There you’ll find a list of file formats suitable for text and images specific to your needs. Flash is the industry standard for animation.
You first need to see if its really the tools that are holding your work back, you may benefit from taking some drawing and painting classes at your local community college. They are fairly inexpensive and can help you develop your skill-set. Photoshop and Flash are the industry standard for digital painting and animation, and if you come from a traditional media background you may want to consider purchasing a drawing tablet like those offered by Wacom.
