I used open office’s software to word process a college essay. The format is .odt however, I “saved as” a .rtf(rich text format). I have done this successfully many times, however last night after supposedly converting the file it vanished! I downloaded a “free” file recovery proggy but it wasn’t free. Is there any way I could go into the cache, etc. and retrieve the file? I tried system restore, but it didn’t work!
