I’m Interested In Buying Acronis True Image 11 Home, And I Had A Few Questions About It.?

For one thing, it says that it backs up your system, and all the files/programs on it. Does this mean that I could use it to create a backup of ALL the software on my computer, which could be burned to say, DVD, and I could use that to reinstall all the programs/drivers on my computer? I use Office 2007, Visual Studio 2008, and Adobe CS3 a lot, and I’m wondering if Acronis would allow me to reinstall all of these right along with Windows. I guess to clarify: could I use Acronis to create a series of DVD’s that would function just like the Windows Recovery CD, but with all my software, preinstalled? I am NOT interested in using this to duplicate the software I paid for, but rather to reinstall all my software at once. I normally re-image my computer every month to keep it in optimal condition, and I would like to have just one install, as opposed to installing all the software individually. I realize this was a long question, but thank you SO MUCH for your help!

Help! Cannot Install Anything On My Laptop!!?

Just got a dell inspiron 1525 laptop…and i have got windows vista. I have tried to install MSN and free antivirus software…it brings the window up with the loading bar telling me how long is left to download..then it disappears and there is no trace of anything on my computer :( please help if u can!

Help With Vista With Saving My Photos And Videos On A Disc?

ok, I have to do a recovery and so I am about to lose all my personal stuff and including the programs i have installed. not too worried about the programs, being i can just download them again..
but, i am having a problem trying to get the pics and videos on a disc. PLEASE HELP!
I dont want to lose these precious files! I have to do the recovery tonight so please see if you can help me. I have researched some but not really getting anywhere.
I am willing to download more software, that is not a problem. right now i am using windows dvd maker.
roxio is no longer working (one of many reasons I need to do a recovery)
these items do not HAVE to play on another device other than the computer. I can just put the disc in and upload them back to my computer (with any luck and knowledge)

Antivirus Softwares?

is it about all paid anti-virus softwares ( kaspersky, Nod32, F-secure, etc) are for one year only? so is it means if i paid let say $20 to purchased the kaspersky 6.0, then after one year of using it, i have again pay some amount to Renew it? so in this way, we are paying for our anti-virus software every year!!?? not that good. And by the way, i saw that CA eTrust antivirus is providing a free trail of one full year, is this software good enough? thank you
