My Computer Is Running Very Slow And Freezes A Lot, Could Some One Help?

I have gig of ram and a 2.2 gh single core prosessor (AMD 64 3500+) I do run many games on it but i have restored my computer to its origional state. I dont have internet on this comp at the moment but i have run anti virus software. no matter what i am doing it will freeze and i have to force restart. and all of my programs run very slow (and its not because i have a slow prosessor because it used to run very fast.) I cant even use my recovery DVD it freezes before it can start. I have tryed many times and it always freezes in the same place. i cant do windows update because i have no internet. Can someone help me fix this problem?

I don’t think so. Most people who download pirated software wouldn’t buy the real thing anyway. They either download it for free or don’t use it at all. So how much does this really hurt the software companies? Are they really losing $500 or gaining another person to spread the word for their product?

VET, now known as CA is an anitivirus/antispyware suite. It keeps telling me i’ve been infected by the most random things, and insists they are quarantined or deleted, but I have my doubts.
Should i install more powerful software that can detect and delete them for real or is the software i’m using powerful enough?

I Have Started A Personal Software Company, Any Tips For Advertisement?

We sell all kinds of software at very low rates, in fact the lowest anyone can sell them at, but then the problem is, we don’t have enough money to advertise. We have done a bit of sale with some customers (23 to be precise) but still, we are very low on financial status. Also we use very secure payment methods and software transfer methods, but then unless we advertise, we won’t get the required trust.

Im a freshman now majoring in computer science and I want to to be a software engineer, do you think I could get a well paying job as a SE with just a Bachelor’s Degree?
My goal is to graduate and begin working full time and maybeee later down the road begin taking classes for my masters but if it’s not possible ill continue upon graduating to get my masters right away.
Also does it matter if my major is computer science and not SE?

Want is the best user friendly photo editing software for Windows XP Media Center -name, version, and mfg?I loaded an older version of Broderbund Print Shop (version 6 – they’re now on 21) to my computer and crashed it…had to do a total destructive recovery – wiping everything out and resetting at original settings. So, I’m in the market for whatever photo edit/storage/manage or whatever I need. I’ve also got Click Art (1998 or 1999) from Broderbund that I’m going to trash rather than risking a crash. Need a “step above” amateur advise before I go out and don’t know what to buy. Thanks
