I added Limewire as an Exception through my Firewall, but wanted to know if an antivirius program would detect any viruses that may come through if I download files? Also what is the best Antivirius program had Trend Micro PC , but trial period ended. Have been looking at The Shield Deluxe and bitdefender, because they offer free customer support, and are supposedly better than McAfee, norton, trend Micro, ETC. any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to install an update from the HP total care advisor. It says the update is critical (it is an update for the recovery manager) and when i click to download the update it says that it cannot find the software to update the program??

I downloaded Antivirus XP 2008 via a link I got here on answers only to find it to be a hoax site. I am unable to remove the program from my computer now. i accidentally deleted my whole iTunes library, and my songs are stranded on my iPod. my computer is a macbook, so i need a software to transfer all my songs from my iPod to my Mac. does anyone have any experience, can anyone help please? thank you in advance.

My D: drive keeps having errors. Files become corrupted, and for some reason it often finds problems with “File 25.” I have run chkdsk on it in repair mode, but it hasn’t had any effect. Is there any other software that can go through a hard drive and find any problems and fix them more effectively than chkdsk?
This wasn’t happening until I “upgraded” to Windows Vista, so I don’t know for sure this is a hard drive issue and not some weirdness of Vista.

Limewire has too many adware viruses, BearShare sucks, and it seems like all the rest are sneaky—-trying to make you pay a “membership fee” and claiming their service is free. All I want and need is a truly FREE music download software for my computer so that I can burn CDs. Can anyone help me out here? I don’t want gimmicks or scams, just FREE music downloads.
