How Do I Get Files Back?

I did a “System Recovery” last weekend on my computer. It was not done using disks and I only obtained it through hitting F10 on the boot up.
Anyway, I seemed to have lost many files…..however all my games are still there like before, and there are still many personal files that are on the computer from before. However all the “My Documents” files from my user name are gone! How did it not touch some files and erase others? Can I still get back the files that I lost? Is there software or a procedure on the computer I can use to do that? Are they really gone for good? Please help.

Looking For A Remote Software To Control Several Kiosks In My Network To Load Daily Presentations.?

I have a project at work where I constantly change presentation datas on several kiosk stations in different locations of our building. The unfortunate part is that I have to do it manually which is cumbersome and slow. I tried a software called VNC but it has a lot of quirks, Netmeeting remote desktop sharing sort of works but the station I am connected to goes into a screen saver once I disconnect from it. I don’t want to use the internet to remote to a local network station to protect company confidentiality. I just want to be able to remote into the stations, upload the presentations, run it and then disconnect from it without any complications. I have to do this everyday. Does anyone know of such a software? Thank you for your insight.

What Software Is For Extracting Audio Or Subtitles?

I have a movie saved on my PC (windows xp) and it is in English originally but some other language subtitle has been put in, overlapping the English language. You can hear a little bit of English but the Russian language is spoken mostly and overlapping the English. Is there a software I can use to watch the movie in only English and get rid of the Russia language?

Is There A Free Software That Read Your Papers Out Loud To You?

I have a learning disability and what I type on my computer is not always what I mean to say I just choice the wrong words so I know their is a software program that can read back what you wrote on your computer. Does anyone know where to get the software? Or is their a website that can help?
