Also, is it best to buy software and make a ‘mirror image’ of the drive? I recently had my C drive crash…the only program that I could find that let me do any data recovery was NTFS Reader…I then accessed all documents/photos that I couldn’t afford to lose and backed them up onto another 80gb hd that I am using now. So scared I may not get them back as I do graphics and have a grip of music on there too…I wanted to take precautions so that if it ever happens again, I’d be okay. So I have this new 250 and really dont know what to do first? Could someone tell me step by step the best way to do this?

Recover Corrupted Hard Drive Data?
I recently connected my external hard drive to my PC to backup some data. Halfway through my PC shut down (thanks to Microsoft’s updates, no less). Due to the unexpected shutdown my hard drive is now “corrupted and inaccessible” , however seeing as it can still be detected as “Local Disk (H:)” whenever I try to connect it I think there’s still some hope.
Any hard drive recovery method/freeware/paid software you’ve used before that worked? Thanks.

Netbook Question: About How To Play Dvd’s On A Netbook That Doesn’t Have A Disc Drive.?
Might be a silly question but I have just purchased a “netbook”. It has “power dvd” preloaded for playing dvd’s. How can this be done when there is no disc drive. Obviously an external drive has to be used. Nothing in the manual suggests anything about this. Also there is recovery discs supplied for software but again no mention about how these are to be loaded when required. Anyone with experience of this care to enlighten this dumbhead further.
