Data Backup At Home?

I am planning to buy two (2) @ 1 TB external USB hard drives, 7200 RPM and 16MB cache, to keep all my files on. I will use only one of the drives as the main source but will treat the other as a mirror image backup. Each night when the computer is not in use the second HD would syncronize with the other, and maybe I’d run a HD test utility as well to make sure it is functioning properly (advice on software of choice for these operations is also appreciated).
Is that the right way to do it for maximum data recovery, speed, etc. to make sure I don’t loose my files?

How Do I Get Current Anti-virus Software For A Less Capable Machine?

As a long time SBCGlobal, now AT&T/Yahoo DSL customer, I was very happy with the CA Antivirus software which was provided free. Lately, Norton software has replaced the CA software. Likewise it works very well for new and current machines. I continue to use an Pentium III, 550 MHz, 192 MB RAM as a network server. The Norton Suite will not satisfactorily install or operate on this vintage computer. Please provide the previous CA Antivirus/Antispy software so that I may continue to protect my system.

Is It Possible To Remove Trend Internet Security Safely And Replace It With Mcaffee Suite Software?

have a computer that is running the Trend micro internet software and feel like it is not protecting as well as the Mcaffee software did.
is it possible to actually remove this one and replace it with Mcaffee without any problems ?
any precautions i should take beforehand??

Can’t Look At Any Site That Has Any Adult Material..browser Closes..help!!?

Purchased this comp from a church/school garage sale and I guess it has some security software. I searched for adult recovery time for a medical procedure.. and boom the browser closes. Tried to check my myspace and same thing..log on to craigslist and click on any link and same deal..Please help!!! Only program I found on the comp was “folder guard”?

I Cant Get Spy Doctor Off Of My Computer!? Antivirus Software?

I downloaded spy doctor for whatever reason and now it wont delete (will uninstall) but wont get off of my Program Files. it says make sure the file isnt being in use or that it can’t delete a certain file. I ended up downloading AVG free.. some people told me it was pretty safe but now i have a huge virus on my computer so im not sure what did it. Please help

i bought this toshiba A200 laptop with a cd Product recovery, it is a windows vista base, for now, its working slowly, i want to fotmat it, but im confuse, if i format my laptop it will erase all data, including and softwares like sound card… i wonder if i did format this using product recovery, will it also install the software im needing?
