   You need to connect the camera to the usb cable for the PC to see it. Turn the camera on after connecting to the usb cable if the PC still doesn’t see it.
   Reinstall the camera software too but this should not be necessary, vista should recognise the camera as a device

   None should be needed assuming your USB ports work. Did you install the USB drivers during the Vista re-install?
