I have never purchased tax preparation software before and am lost in a sea of quicken, turbo tax, and an assortment of other programs. No one program seems to get a great review and was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions. Thanks!

I tried Turbo Tax after my accountant did my taxes. I got TT after the season ended. I inputted the exact info and my accountant’s return saved me $375.00 more than TT. TT went into the trash and never bothered using it again. Here’s the reason, tax rulings & laws change daily, weekly and monthly. TT is made up almost a year before, example: 2009’s TT is made up in 2008. It can never be current and will cost you money in the end. The professional tax return programs [$1000 a year for a subscription] is updated daily. Take the money you want to spend on TT and get yourself a good dinner.
