I reformatted my HDD the other day as i felt it was too messy and it would be easier to format it than go round deleting everything. After formatting silly me realised i needed some documents that were on the HDD i formatted. I’m on Windows XP and I need to get the files back. I need free software. Any suggestions. I know my stuff with computers to be fair so any free programs would be very much appreciated
Next time I’ll remember to make a back up

If you formatted your computer, the files may be gone forever. Which is on the warning you get before you go through with the format.
