How Can I Delete Avg Antivirus Software Compleately?

I installed the free version of AVG8 and now I can’t delete all traces of this program.
I have installed and then uninstall AVG8 but when I try to install a different antivirus software, I get a message that tells me “remove AVG8″ before installing the new software.
AVG effectively has prevented me from installing a better software.
I’m using windowsXP.
also…. after my installation of the new software failed,
if I try to run the set up of my new software, the program halts and shuts down. I got an email from this company but when I click on the link the browsers closes. That its very strange because the other links that I have on my mailbox open up without any problem.
I know my computer has a virus but first I have to delete AVG before I can install the new software.
by the way…AVG doesn’t remove the virus as it claims. for that reason, I’m looking for a different antivirus.
does anybody knows how to solve this problem.

   This software here, http://www.ursoftware.com/ delete EVERYTHING every trace hope that answers for you. I don’t think you want to go in the reg just let the program do it for you.
