You can go on the Thinkpad website and get the replacement drivers. Just have it automatically detect your computer model and it will bring up a list of drivers and programs.
WARNING: Some of the older drivers may not work with Vista.
Here is the link: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.w…
Don’t forget to download “Software Installer” from the site. It will check your drivers and provide updated ones automatically.
Good luck!
No you cant do this the only way you can get as recovery disk is when you purchased your computer or if you made one yourself after purchasing it
You’re so brainwash with MS that you took everything for granted that it’s going to work, you find out it don’t, now you have problems,, you have one of two options. hope for the best that Vista didn’t wipe all your hard drive, there should be a partition on it thats holding your systems restore, if you didn’t get any backup cd’s when you bought the system. first read your manuals.
Then what you need to do is visit IBM support website and ask the geeks there how to restore your system, if by any chance you can’t restore your system back to windows, then follow the Linux path,
From what I have been reading this week IBM are now installing Linux on their Lenovo systems. So ask them what version they are pre-installing, and ask if you can download it off their website. Linux is free to download with all the software you will ever need, IBM will have the linux drivers for your hardware,
There is always away out of problems, you have just got to find it, keep in touch I may be able to help you to find it
