What Kind Of Questions Are Asked In A Interview For A Software Developer Position?

I have an interview coming up next week for a software developer position, the company said they found my resume on careerbuilder, I have my degree in chemistry and haven’t had a lot of computer programing experience i’ve only had 1 semester of fortran. Is there a lot of experience required for the position.

   Some of the questions they’ll ask you will relate to the progamming languages that you listed in your resume. So be prepared to address those.
   Additionally, they might ask you about the SDLC or DLC (Software Development Life Cycle). At minimum, be “acquainted” with it…Google it.
   Above all, be honest. (Nothing an interviewer hates more than a lying sack of sh*t; they’ve been doing this for years so they’ll know if you’re BS-ing.) If you don’t know of or are unsure of a question, ask them to repeat it.
   If you were honest in your resume and it qualified you for the interview, you’re already off to a good start. Talk about the things you’ve done that may be related to the position.
   Do as much research as you can on the company and the prospective position.
   Go online and try to find more interview tips.

   It all depends what they want you for. I used to hire software developers.
   I would ask:
   What projects they had worked on and can they show me their work?
   I would ask questions about C, C++
   I would ask them to write some code to solve a problem.
   I would just talk about their previous experiences with them to see if I liked them and attempt to determine whether they would fit into the group.
