popup blocker: google addon bar. go to google.com and type in google explorer bar.
antivirus: avast! just google it and you’ll get there

Yahoo toolbar has a free pop-up blocker included.
If you go to http://www.trendmicro.com and click on house call, you can do a free virus scan online that will rid your computer of infections for free too.
