What Kind Of Computer Software Would I Need For Scheduling?

My company that I work for is starting a new company and I was wondering, what kind of software would I need that would have reminders and things like that on it? For instance: If someones membership is good for 1 year, but I want something to remind me the week that membership is up. Or like Insurance, I need to know when someones insurance needs to updated and stuff. Anyone have any ideas about what I would need to do this?

Well, it all depends on how complicated/thorough you want to make things.
Simplest – Any calendar allows you to enter a task or appointment & make it recurring, just add a reminder. I use Outlook for things like birthdays & anniversaries, because they can be saved as part of the contact information.
Most complicated – You can set up a database that includes all your client information, plus a reminder field. Access is widely used and very flexible, but it takes some learning.
I use a program called ListPro that’s basically a ready-made database for lists. You set up your own & can have as many as you want. Very easy. Each list can have 1 of its date fields used as reminders, you just have to remember to turn the feature on (it’s off by default). It has both a desktop & a pocket PC version (also for Palm), so I have my lists with me all the time. There’s limitations in the # of fields (I think about 30 or so is the maximum), but since the lists can be exported to Excel & other programs, there’s plenty of possibilities even for work.
    Hope that was helpful.

Outlook would serve that purpose, it handles email and address books and has a calendar function that provides all the functionality that you are referring to. Unfortunately, it’s not the most reliable product that’s ever come onto the market.
