How Do You Play Into The Guitar Rig 3 Software?

i just got the guitar rig 3 software and don’t know how to play my guitar into the software. i can record in the program audacity, but i don’t know why i can’t play into the guitar rig software. can someone help?

   Hi, have you chosen your Input/Output yet? When you launch GuitarRig in standalone, it will pop-up its Input/Output interface. Then you choose which soundcard or device you want to use, as well as the quality 41K/48K etc. Have you done this already?
