How Do I Save Pictures And Txt Messages From My Cellphone To My Computer W/o Paying For Software?

I have a Motorola v325 cellphone, a usb cord to connect it to my computer (PC or Mac).
All I want to do is save the text messages and the pic files. Is there a way to do that without paying or taking the time to text them to a site individually or buying software?

When you take a picture it will say store.send to online ablum or other things.I have the one from alltell and that is how mine works.
