you have to buy another Disk , u cant use the same CD 2 install the OS in other comp. theres only one way to purchase new activation codes from Microsoft they’ll only gave you activation codes for 4 computers.
u can install the OS to your other pc but it wont work after 30 days.. because you cant use the same activation code for both computers. contact Microsoft I suggest you to call them.
If you have AT&T use their software internet protection is good better then Norton or any other out there and its free … but only works with XP at the moment~!

I think microsoft expect you to license (buy a copy) of their so called operating system for each each PC. Why not use linux, that way you will not need licenses (or anti virus)

Unless you have an OEM license agreement, you have to buy each time or the owner will run into registration problems and you don’t need that kind of feedback. I highly recommend AVG free or Avast if for an individual. If they are for a business, look into the PC-cillin for good products scalable to the users needs and great support at a very reasonable price.

    Hi,
If ur using windows single user licence then u’ll have to buy new copy every time n deliver that windows disc to ur customer along with the new pc.
Regarding anti virus i would recommend AVG Free edition u can download it from http://free.grisoft.com/
    Ha-p Computing ;)

You build them but you don’t know about Operating Systems?
Windows Operating Systems are licensed to just one computer:
If you have a full version of Windows XP you can remove the license from one computer and put it on another but it means that Windows will no longer work on the old machine.
To keep costs down buy OEM copies of Windows, they are exactly the same as a retail copy minus the fancy packaging… and only half the price!
Alternatively you could install your computers with a free Linux
operating system such as Ubuntu (you must load W.I.N.E to make them run programs written for Windows).
There are ways of getting Windows XP for free, but I won’t mention them on Yahoo.
