I bought a 4gb memory stick Duo for my Sony DSC F717. I couldn’t find any information on whether the large/high speed cards would work, so I took a chance.
It appears to work ok, so I set off, and after about 300 photos, it hung while recording a TIFF photo. It wouldn’t continue and I had to switch it off.
When powered by back on, the camera appears to have lost 200+ photos. The camera knows it has taken 300+, but only 117 can be seen!!!!!
I have tried to scan the card for deleted photos using recovery software, but non exist. The size of the actual photos on the card is 300+mb, but if you look at the space used on the actual card – it is 700+mb.
There seems to be 400mb of used space that can’t be identified or indexed.
Has anyone else had this problem? Are there any tools to aid in accessing these files? I would prefer not to lose these pictures ![]()
I wont use the 4gb after this, I also have a 2gb – will I be ok with this size card on a DSC F717?
Many thanks
