Antivirus Software And Limewire?

I have AVG at the moment on my laptop, and I know my firewall is blocking limewire. I don’t want to turn the firewall off on limewire because I don’t want bugs getting in, so it there any other free downloadable (on the internet) antivirus software that will work with limewire?

    I have yet to meet or talk to anyone who has managed to completely protect there puter from viruses downloaded from limewire. It seems to me if you use limewire your going to suffer the consequences.
    Have you tried bittorrent and googled AXXO

    letting limewire in gives you bugs if you dont know the source of the files. SOme thing you can do is us a realtime download filter. Basicly it is a function of systematic that searches all downloads before they are installed and gives a less likely chance for infection. As for the firewall just make limewire apart of your ok list in your firewall setting. (I dont use limewire just for the bug reason.) A friend uses sharazze or something like that at she has had no problems so far.

    u dont need to turnoff ur avg firewall
    u just need to allowe ur limewire throw firewall
    im not using avg and i dont know hw to allow it
    u just need some settings
