I just got a new laptop and it has vista home premium on it and i want to keep it new and virus free for a long time. I have a buget of 30dollars.

There are many free anti-virus programs out there that will work just as well as the paid versions. AVG and Avast are two of my favorites. If you want more functionality than both of these companies offer paid versions that cost around $30.
Save your 30 Dollars. Instead, download Avast Antivirus from Avast.com It is free of cost, fast and reliable. It consumes lesser memory than many other anti-viruses and updates are available daily and frquently. I have been using it for 3 years and I have never seen my PC infected.
