My Pictures Are Printing Out Stretched With Any Printer And Software I Use?

I tried switching printers and using various software including paintshop pro, photoshop, picasa, even MS Word, but I must have some setting wrong because it always prints my image slightly elongated. Any help would be appreciated here. Thanks! 10 points for sure!
