How To Secure My Wireless Internet?

I have wireless internet and my cousin made it secure so not just anyone could connect to my internet connection without the right password.
But I plan on performing system recovery in the next couple days. When I get my internet connection back up, how will I make my internet secure again.
I dont believe my cousin downloaded any new software to secure it I believe he just did it through windows. So if you can provide me with step by step instructions that would be awesome. Thanks a lot for your help

this security is embedded into your wireless access point, which means it’ll still be there afterwards

depends…..if you do an ‘overlay’ of windows, user data if in theory supposed to be left intact: a ‘formatted’ or destructive install will loose data… and out go the settings made to ’secure’ the system (internal); your settings made to the router itself (within the administrator of the router) will not change. if you mean the wi fi was encrypted (WEP, WPA, etc.) then you will have to reset the encryption protocols between the router and the comp’r.

did he sucure your computer or your router? if its the router then it won’t matter if its your computer then it might undo what he did if you go further back then when he did it.
