How Do You Get A Virus Off Your Computer?

I keep trying to get a virus off my computer that randomly popped up the other day when I was on myspace.com. Whenever I Google for a free antivirus software, the software downloads but the virus wont let it open to do its thing. Please, please help.

restart your computer & push F8 as it boots. from the screen that appears select safe mode. you should be able to run your security software now.
I suspect you need to run anti spyware also. At download .com you can get Malwarebytes or superantispyware.
If you run ona user account without administrative privledge it helps lessen these things.
You can get rid of virus or other malwares from your computer by following these steps .
1 Download and intall the AVG 8.0 on your computer .
2 Update yourAVG 8.0 .
3 Scan your computer for all the malwares in your computer .
4 Remove all the malwares , found while scanning with AVG antivirus .
5 Restart your computer

you might need to whip your computer meaning litterly getting rid of everything and putting everything back, pictures,music, even windows
if the virus isnt letting you run the antivirus software, then your best option is to reboot the whole sysytem
i like malwarebytes’ anitmalware. has a trial version that does very good on most things that are going on,

download ur program from safe mode with internet and scan from there
