Is Avira Antivir Premium A Strong Antivirus Software?

In a recent test of all antivirus software, AntiVir premium ranked 7th with 97.13% score, whereas Mcafee ranked 21st, with 86% score.http://virus.gr/portal/en/content/2008-0…
For years I have used Mcafee, but my computer eventually crashes and gets corrupt. I then have to do a hard drive recovery. I just got done with a recovery, and lost a lot of software that was installed. I don’t think Mcafee is effective enough to prevent computer crashing.
So now I am thinking of using another antivirus instead of mcafee. Is Avira antivir premium a better choice?

How Do You Soften An Image Using Photo Editing Software?

I use Photo Impact Pro.I think the basic features of all major photo editing software are the same.So if I am taking a closeup shot of face,How do I soften up the image, On my software, the only think I see is section from toolbar called “Blur” and it has subsections like Gaussian,Edge preserving Blur etc etc.Do I need to look for something else ?
