I made some recovery disks (3 dvds) for my laptop just a few weeks ago. In the last week some updates have gone wrong, everything broke down, and I decided to use the recovery disks.
Everything was going well until the end of the first disk. It said recovery was complete and it doesn’t want to know about the other two disks. Windows is working fine, but now how do I recover all the rest of my software from the other disks???

Ok, first of it`s not a piracy question. My friend has a laptop from Littlewoods with Vista Home Basic on it and, as expected, no OS disk or backup software. So, I`m wondering if anyone knows how to make an image of the OS for recovery purposes.

I have McAfee Total Protection right now and I want to install another one like AVG Antivirus Free Edition or any other security softwares.
Does running two antivirus softwares at the same time as it may conflicts or not? What do you think?

I had a problem with my cd -rom drive on my windows xp pc, it was freezing every so often.So i uninstalled it and thought i would use the recovery disc to reinstall it.When i installed the red floppy recovery disc, a message informed me that the pc wasnt genuine( i had an upgrade and new motherboard fitted 2 years ago, so this could be the reason.Now i cannot play cds or dvds as the player is no longer on the pc.Is there some way i can reinstall the driver without a cd and without having buy software from a company to repair it over the internet.I tried the recovery program, but a message came up that the f drive is damaged or been removed, which it has.So i cannot reverse the removal.Please help

YES!! never ever run more than one antivirus at the same time, because they conflict and can break the computer. Plus your mcafee expired so your not gonna get any more updates so you might as well throw it out

Had to do a complete system recovery reboot. I realize photo files are still in hard drive somewhere. Can I recover them without buying a software program to do it? Lost last 10 months of photos, I know should have saved, lesson learned, can anyone help?
