Why Doesn’t My Pc Recognize My External Hard Drive?

I loaded data onto it, and it was reading and writting fine. I then needed to put a different drive into the enclosure, when I went back to the first drive, it wanted me to format it. When I go into the disk manager, it says that it is totally empty. I used demo hard drive recovery software and the data is there! What can I do to make the data accessible again? I also tried converting the drive to NTFS and it stated the the drive already is. I then tried to do a chkdsk and it came back The drive, path is not valid.

Is It Necessary To Use The Kodak Easyshare Software To Upload Pictures From The Camera?

Ok I am having problems with this digital camera I have which is a Kodak EasyShare. I haven’t used the camera and the software and years and I am not able to install the Easy Share software to my computer by using the CD nor by downloading it online.
The CD has version 3.1 and when I put the CD on the computer and try to Install it nothing happens. It gets stuck doesn’t matter how much I try.
I am trying to download the exact version and the 6.0 version from the Kodak website and I am also having problems, I can’t execute the installation file, it gets stuck too.
It just happening with my Kodak software because I am not having any problems with the other programs.
Is it possible to use another software that can detect my Kodak Easy Share CX6330 to transfer my pictures, or is it only with the cd that came with it?

What Is The Best Client-side Email Organization Software?

I currently use MS Outlook and NEO (Nelson Email Organizer) to sort my email. NEO is nice, but it doesn’t do everything that I want it to.
What is the best software to organize my email? I recieve several hundred emails a day, of which maybe 20 are important. I would like a system that:
– Allows me to access a number of POP accounts
– Allows me to respond “from” a variety of accounts
– Automatically sorts emails based on a variety of custom rules (email from certain people gets treated differently)
– Allows me to categorize emails into different categories and easily access those categories (like Gmail)
– Is a client-side application or plugin (Gmail is great, but I need to be able to work offline)
– Allows fast access to a by-contact view of my mail — I need to be able to very quickly sort by sender regardless of where the email is stored. (NEO is great at this).
I don’t care if I stick with the “folder” metaphor or not. Thunderbird?

Best Antivirus Software To Prevent Viruses, Trojans, Worms, Etc?

I’ve been thinking of Windows Live OneCare and Windows Defender. They both work fine and delete, quarantine and clean the file that is infected with virus. But once the trial of Windows Live OneCare expired, I don’t know what antivirus software I might use now.
I want to an antivirus software is that it doesn’t slow down the computer, it works perfectly on Windows XP (any service pack), has a pop-up blocker, website blocker, system scan, delete, quarantine and clean an infected file, and a free software.
Also give me some links for some antivirus reviews, and in your opinion, why is it the best AV software for you?
