Is it really impossible to recover data from an hard disk formatted with the software “Killdisk”?
They claim there’s no chance to recover data in any way after the hard disk is “destroyed” with their software. Is this completely true?
If i wanted to erase very sensitive data (credit card details ans so on) from my hard disk because i need to sell it on ebay, how can i be completely sure?
This kind of software “Killdisk” is enough to destroy data without chance of recovery?

i have a friends computer im trying to fix. its got a registry corruption in windows. when i boot it will go to the xp startup screen, then it stops and i get this error:
“Stop: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or its log or alternate”
when i put my copy of xp home in it, i press R to go recovery console, then it says it doesnt see a drive. that makes no sense.
i havent ruled out a hard drive problem. but the guy doesnt want to lose his data. i cant run recovery to repair windows. any ideas?

this is what happened ? When my pc got stuck i restarted it then befor this message apears a blue screen comes in a flash in sec dnt know what is is then the black screen comes windows failed to start due to hardware or software change..
