pls suggest me some software which i can copy to my pc which is not connected with internet,………………i tried many free software but they are not effctive complitely,………….as i m not technical person guide me step by step…….thanks a lot

There are 3 major freeware versions (Not connect to internet meaning a registration check for buying it?) that are usually recommended here A LOT. If You mean that it doesn’t update itself online for “virus definitions”, than it’s impossible to find one that will ever work because there are new viruses created every day worldwide, and the virus detectors have to know what they are to stop them.
I use the one maggy does, from http://www.free-av.com … Avira antivirus and it hasn’t missed a virus in over 3 years, on mine or my friends’ (15+) computers. It also doesn’t slow down my system while running, protects constantly, and does about a 2-minute update every 3 days.
There’s also ( the best and most recommended by Y!Answers users) AVG antivirus, Avast antivirus, or – ah shoot!, can’t remember the third one right now!.
Anyway, at least one of these 2 will solve Your problem, but be sure you remove ALL OTHER virus programs before You try to install any of these, since having any 2 virus programs together will cause a system to stop running, or at least slow down to several DAYS to do simple stuff.

Well, you can try threatfire. This software is different from traditional antivirus as these products usually need to have first identified and seen a threat before they can provide adequate protection against it.
Threatfire detect virus through the behavior of the virus rather through the virus definition a.k.a. “bad guy virus wanted poster”. So basically it will able to stop never- before-seen “zero-day” threats solely by detecting their malicious activity.
So it is not to much dependent to the internet compared to traditional antivirus.

You must remember that threatfire is more like an important upgrade or add on to your current antivirus and having both will dramatically improve your computer security.
You can also try manual update by downloading the virus definition from the internet and updating it manually at home.

All good anti-virus software needs to be bought. I suggest Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. Its a bit expensive but it will keep your computer safe.

I wouldn’t trust the safety of your computer on free software.
If you contract a virus, you might end up having to buy a whole new computer. You can buy it offline and download it straight away.

http://www.isohunt.com you will need to download frostwire first from http://www.frostwire.com. install frostwire then go to isohunt.com search for mcafee 2008 then click on download torrent then click open it will then open frostwire and download the files for you.

I think AVG free is the best because i use it and i used to get LOTS of Trojan Horses but now with AVG i get none. But the bad news is that it needs to update with the internet
download any software you like but never download antivirus2009
1-it cost money
2-it automatically downloads viruses so you have to pay more money to update it
3-its not evective
Best Antivirus software is Kaspersky hands down.
