Hi everyone. Everytime i plug my iphone 3g into itunes for a software update, half way through updating it tells me it cannot update and then my iphone goes into recovery mode so i have to activate it and put all my data from the back up back on it. It takes a total of 2 hours for it to be complete. Is there anyway of preventing this? I have seen a friend just plug his iphone in for the update and it only takes 5 minuets with no errors. Just in case it helps I am using a PC and so is my firend.

Kinda sounds like something’s wrong with your iPhone. Either try to restore it & try the update once again or take it to Apple or where you bought it from & explain the situation.
