What Is The Best Software To Protect Your Computer & Internet?

I need to buy new software to protect my computer and internet. There are only two things I need for it is that once I buy it, I don’t have to repay it every year and more important it doesn’t affect my internet for which I have to turn it off to make the internet work properly. Everyone who has purchased this kind of software please reply, I just need to know which is the best to buy and use.

    Actually, there are plenty of completely free protection programs out there. I’d recommend Avast Antivirus Free Edition, found here:http://www.download.com/Avast-Home-Editi…
    For Spyware, you could get either Spybot Search & Destroy, found here: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-De...
    or you could get Ad Aware 2008, found here: http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2008/30...
    For a firewall, Comodo Firewall Pro 3 is decent, found here: http://www.download.com/Comodo-Firewall-...
    The only thing with Comodo, make sure to completely disable Defense+ when you install it. Defense+ is an unnecessary feature that is annoying. Other than that, it’s a good firewall.
