I went to a friend’s place to download a software (He has big connection rate) and he had it copied on a pendrive for me. When I opened it, I found that 10% of the files were missing. Now my friend is abroad. If I wanted to complete it, how can do it from another computer?

If this was possible, it would be hard to do.
Problem is that any information that would tell what ever program how much of the file was downloaded would be on your friends computer.
The only way I can think of trying to resume the download would be to A, start the download again, and point it to that partial file – IE may try to resume it, though more likely it will want to overwrite it.
Second way to try would be through FTP, the clients I have used have asked me if I wanted to overwrite it or resume when I upload files, don’t know if it would work for download. of course, where ever you downloaded it from would have to give you FTP access.
I have never tried resuming a download from an other computer like this so this is just guessing, and what i would try, though I more then likely would just start downloading it again – if your on dialup you can use a program like netants (don’t know if it still exists) which supports resuming paused downloads
once a download has been interrupted you cannot resume the download elsewhere.you must start over.
