nod32 is one of the best AVs out there, no need for Norton.

Installing and running multiple antivirus programs on your machine won’t wreck your machine but it may slow it down (especially if you run Norton). There is a common set of viruses that all antivirus programs cover (which amounts to about 70-80% off all the viruses out there) and having more then one antivirus only adds maybe an extra 5-10% of all viruses out there so it isn’t a very effective cost to benefit ratio. It would be better to choose the better antivirus program of the two and just have that running.

Nope…they won’t install properly and they interferr with each other. It is HARD to get rid of Norton or McAffee once you put them on. McAfee wants you to PAY to remove it….(it crashed MY computer…after months of trying to get it off…) and Norton is still on mine in spots no matter WHAT I DO! Uninstall programs…THEIR uninstall program…registry cleaners…c cleaner…nothing gets rid of all of it.
    I HATE those two programs.
I don’t understand how people can run more than one. I have tried and it tells me to shut down one and uninstall one before it will work. Curious as to how to work that then….does that have to do with the firewalls or something? In fact I couldn’t even install Avast when I tried to get rid of Norton until I went through two weeks of cleaning out my computer all traces of Norton. Still have something there but can’t find it…but a notice pops up all the time about Norton. Drives me nuts.

    Avoid Norton at all costs.
For Anti-virus and Network Shields, AVG and Avast are beast.
You can install as many anti-viruses as you want. They work together, when one fails to get a virus, the others will.
    Nod32 + Avast.
    No question.

normally you should install just 1 anti virus. you computer will accept 2 but the scanners will be in conflict with each other. AVG is a very good anti virus solution. you should try that.
