The current calendar doesnt let you add events on it, only view them, while the iPhone one lets you add events on-the-go. After the software update in july, will the calendar allow the addition of events on an iPod touch?

The current software (January Software Upgrade) DOES allow you to add events on it. Also, the software update for the iPod Touch should be released sometime soon.
