the best free anti virus by a mile is avast home
its so so ace it even has a virus scanning screensaver 0.o
and pc spyware doctor from google pack is the best anti spyware for free http://pack.google.com
the best commercial is kaspersky but it costs £60 for its IE suit so bitdefender is a good option it costs £30 for 3 home use pcs
dont use norton or mcaffe they spamm up your systems memory and make it go slowly i know this from experience
gl being virus free. (also get yahoo toolbar with antispy bcoz it gets rid of tracking cookies and little virus quick and easy)

best paid for are Kaspersky or NOD32, best free are AVG or Avast. If you go to http://www.eset.com they have a good comparison table off alot of anti-virus programs and how they tested.
Commercial – Kaspersky. Almost completely unknown to average users; a legend among PC techs.
Free – AVG Free Edition or Avast Home Edition
I would recommend McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008. It’s the best I’ve used. Would be good if you have at least 512 MB RAM. I have 1 GB and it works perfectly.
My personal favourite which you have to buy is ESET’s NOD32. I find it to be the best anti virus around. The best free anti virus ive ever used is probably AVG

The best anti virus is to stop looking at porn and not being so gullible and naive. Don’t waste your money on anti virus software.
