I would be willing to pay for it if its a good one and easy to use. I don’t really like the Adobe software programs so I’d like other suggestions than any of those. Thanks in advance. It doesn’t have to be a free program.

Photoshop and illustrator isn’t for everyone, they’ve got huge learning curves. You probably aren’t going to like GIMP – http://www.gimp.org/ – much either even though it’s probably the best free alternative to Photoshop.
Most other high and mid range imaging programs have features that take a little time to learn how to use properly.
Corel bought up a load of image programs like Paint Shop Pro and Picture Publisher (which I used to like) and their imaging products are very good. You can download free trials of their software to see if you get on with them – http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/u...
There are a whole bunch of excellent free image editors around. You can find the best at http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pixelba...
One good one not mentioned is Irfanview – http://www.irfanview.com/
Adobe Photoshop is the best. It’s a professional tool, though, with a million features. There are simpler versions like Photoshop Elements, that do most of the things you need to do if you’re not deadly serious. Then there’s GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) that you can download free, and it’s very good for the price, but I like Photoshop better.
If you don’t like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro is not bad. Corel Suite has a photo program called Corel Photo-Paint. There must be half a dozen others out there. But nobody even really tries to compete with Photoshop!
hey, why pay if there are lots of freeware that can do what you want/need? here are some that i know…
if you are very “technical”, gimp shop works well as well as irfan view.
but i prefer picasa and photoscape. other more fancy stuff are visions and pictomio which offer 3D image mgmt.
everything i mentioned is freeware, and you can get them from download.com. try searching also in osalt.com.
last piece of advice: try picasa first. it’s wonderful. good luck!
GIMP
Paint Shop Pro
but Adobe Photoshop is by far the best, though most expensive.
Damn, Adobe has gotten reallly greedy over the years. I mean, $2500 for the CS4 Master Collection! No wonder people are pirating it.
photoshop cs4 , it is easy to use for anyonehttp://downallsoftware.com
