Saving Music From Corrupt Ipod?

I need help figuring out how to get my music off of my corrupted ipod. When I connect the ipod to the computer iTunes says it’s corrupted & it is not accessible through MyComputer. But it plays fine when its disconnected. If i loose my music I will die. Please help. Is there a data recovery software thats like less than $30? Or some other way I can save my music?
