    For light photo editing, Google Picasa, Paint.Net and FastStone Image Viewer are excellent.http://picasa.google.com/http://faststone.org/http://getpaint.net/
    For more professional editing, the Gimp is unmatchable in features. It rivals Adobe Photoshop to the very end.http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/http://gimp.org/

    I recommend GIMP, it has many features of Photoshop and costs nothing.
    GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
    Other free alternatives would be Paint.net or Picasa from Google.

    You can download a free trial version of Adobe Photoshop from their website.

    I highly recommend Paint.Net it is a GREAT program, and is free.
