have an hp laptop with vista premium. but i just got a dell with basic vista. can i use the hp system recovery to get premium vista on the dell. is there anyway i could get premium on the dell without buying the software

Nope! The drivers for the HP System Recovery will only work on your laptop and will NOT be compatible with the Dell.
umm… why not just use dell system restore, i just used it and my computer works perfectly now
No u cant even if you could u cant activate check hp site to orer hp recovery they cost 19$+shiping
