I have this Sony VAIO of VGN-SZ series. I want to recover it’s C drive, and i understand that it requires deletion of user software and data. I have created backup.
My question is, is that all that is needed?
Should i get a CD or sort of?

Basically the recovery will bring the pc back to factory settings. After data backup all you need to do is pop in the cd and follow the instructions.
